A lot of things has happened since I turned 25. Much of the things I believe are for the better - in terms of personal outlook and way of thinking. I believe I am a better person now than I was a year and so back
I must still be high on dopamine after listening most of the day to the three house tracks I posted here. (FYI, here's an interesting short video on how music is like a drug - very informative especially if you do enjoy sound tripping like I do - LINK). I can notice though that slowly, there is more and more disregard to being self-conscious on my part. Much of it has to do with acceptance on my part I think.
As the lyrics of the song Silhouette go - "...will never look back at the faded silhouette." High on dopamine, I think and feel free now. I can see clearly how the pre-25 year old me was like an old shell - and from my vantage point, I can see how much I've soared since then.
I wish that the same sense of freedom can be experienced by my friends and other people in general. Much of the problems of the world are born out of insecurities and envy. If people were more accepting of themselves and more open to the views of others, then, the world will be a much better place.
As humans created out of the likeness of God, we were never made to be perfect. This is why I believe in the concept of evolution. We evolve to become a better version of ourselves. We transition through life creating silhouettes and shadows of our former selves.
Focus on the future but live life today. Afterall, by tomorrow, today is nothing but the past.
