"It's not just the destination that makes a vacation. It's the people you meet and the friends you make that sets the experience apart."
I finally found the ring I like to commemorate all the travels I've gone on and the places I've visited. Instead of getting a tattoo, I've sissied out and decided to buy a ring in Tiffany's. Aside from commemorating travel, I got it as a reminder to never lose myself in loving somebody else.
Appropriately, the ring is from Tiffany's Atlas collection. Atlas, the mythological God who supported the world on his shoulders. Apt and not tacky for my first bling purchase! :-)
So what happened in Bangkok? :) that's a secret I'll never tell. Haha, I'm kidding. I won't expound the statement that Bangkok is what I would consider the Vegas Mecca of South East Asia ... But I most of what I did which I can flat out admit here are: shopping, bars, pubs, clubbing, watching a sex show, shopping and meeting new friends and acquaintances.
I was really happy how cheap the finds I found in the chatuchak market. It makes the clothes I bought the previous day an extravagance!
Day 2 shopping:
Armani Xchange
Day 3 shopping (chatuchak market)
More pictures and stories!
The Chatuchak finds cost just less than half of what I bought in Lacoste and Armani X. It's that cheap! :-)
I can't say more on the shopping. Like my trip in Barcelona which I hash tagged with #vacationfling, it's so funny it just sort of happens. And it did happen in Bangkok. I may not have been looking for anything, but it finds me. And I'm happy it did. Because despite the wanted distraction, it allowed me to realize a lot of things and let go of the baggage I've been carrying with me since my last relationship didn't exactly pan out like I how I hope it would.
Now I feel 100%. Better, stronger and ready to forge ahead and make great new memories as I live this short life. As Stephen taught me (just to clarify, I'm not referring to myself in third person. But the sudden reference to a name was intentional), Mai Pen Rai! The ubiquitous phrase in Thailand could not be more appropriate for the kind of insight I wish to start living my life with.
Good to hear the Bangkok trip was awesome! :) I Googled what MPR means. Hehe!
ReplyDeleteLove the Tiffany ring. Yay! :) Love, love, love T&C!
The panda shirts are adorbs. You can wear a different design for almost every new day. Hehe! Panda collection? I also love the shirts with artsy designs. ;)
hahaha thanks friend! you were the first person i thought of when i saw the tiffany's and co in the airport and i said it's right about time i get myself one!!! :)
Deletehaha unfortunately i have work so i have to be in a different attire - anyway, the panda ones are kind of small as in the material is not stretchy - but for the arty ones, since i didnt get to buy friendship bracelets in silom night market when i was with stephen walking around, pick two shirt designs and ill choose which one to give you! it's unisex size so it's not too small not too big on me. if it fits when you come by to copy, its yours haha
haha! really glad you decided to get yourself a tiffany! next project should either be bulgari or cartier. hahahaha!
Deletethanks for the shirt, friend. i DOUBT it'll fit me because i'm twice your size! hahaha! :D thanks pa din though. ;)
no friend, the vanilla gate gala sizes are quite loose fitting, like the uss shirt you borrowed before. well if you drop by try to fit one hahaha.
